Thanksgiving Day 2017: TV Viewing Guide

Thanksgiving TV schedule is always packed with holiday specials, classic movies and sporting events. This year's schedule includes a lot of that and more. Below is a list of the top TV highlights for Thanksgiving Day 2017. Enjoy a fun TV viewing day with friends and family.

Thanksgiving Day TV Highlights 

8 AM - 10 PM (ET/PT) - Enjoy an all-day marathon of Christmas-themed movies (including six straight with "Christmas" in the title) on the Hallmark Channel.

9 AM - Noon (all time zones ET/PT): The 91st Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be aired by NBC live on the East Coast & delayed on the West Coast. The annual parade features giant balloons of classic and contemporary characters including Spongebob, Charlie Brown, Pikachu, Hello Kitty, Power Ranger, Angry Bird and more. This year's program will include performances by stars like Gwen Stefani, 98 Degrees, Smokey Robinson, Sara Evans and the Radio City Rockettes.

12 PM/noon (all time zones ET/PT): Immediately following the parade will be the world premiere (taped) broadcast of everyone's favorite National Dog Show hosted by the American Kennel Club. The actual competition took place a week prior. NBC is the national broadcaster.

1 PM - 6 PM (ET/PT) - Enjoy a five-hour marathon of the sitcom classic "Friends" starring Jennifer Anniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc on TBS.

12:30 PM (ET): The first of three NFL football games pits the Minnesota Vikings against the Detroit Lions. FOX will carry the game live.

4:30 PM (ET): The second football game is an contest between America's darling Dallas Cowboys and the L.A. Chargers. CBS will broadcast this game.

8 PM - 9:30 PM (ET/PT) - Anne of Green Gables premieres on public broadcaster PBS.

8:30 PM (ET): The final game of the Thanksgiving Day triple-header pits the Washington Redskins against the New York Giants. Tune in to NBC for this exciting game.
