Poetry - Wildflower

I fall in love with a wildflower,
Who shines brightly in the day
But fades despondently in the night.
Who's so cruel to shatter a callow heart?
Who's so cruel to trample a delicate soul?

I call for her from the last twilight,
But she is consumed by darkness.
She seeks refuge in false ecstasy
And in the whirlwind of life.

Smile as the tears flow!
Befriend the bitter wine!
Time never ceases passing
And pain is eternal.
What shall become of you, my wildflower?
Where will you be in this world of hopelessness?
