Earth Day Quotes and Sayings

The true purpose of Earth Day is sometimes misunderstood by people. This day is not simply a celebration of the beautiful earth; it is a call for everyone of us to protect the environment and the Earth's natural resources. In sum, this is a somber but hopeful event designed to raise awareness to the gradual degradation of the earth and the actions required to remedy it. There are actually two Earth Days (one in March and one in April). The latter has become a popular occasion observed by countries around the world. I would like to share a small compilation of Earth Day quotes and sayings for all to enjoy.

"It is our collective and individual responsibility to protect and nurture the global family, to support its weaker members and to preserve and tend to the environment in which we all live." Dalai Lama
