A poem by Simon Nguyen
Life is a series of ecstasies and heartbreaks.
Whoever claimed to never feel pain is not fully a human.
Lovers depart; best friends forget.
Bright smiles turn bitter frowns.
Soulful tears fill empty cups.
Where in the world could we find a more bitter wine?
I walk alone as twilight comes.
Darkness erases my footprints.
Cool breezes fail to ease my hardened heart.
Where in the world could we find remedy for a broken soul?
